ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Leia Miller
I graduated from BYU with a bachelors in Communication Disorders. Like Alison, I love shopping and chocolate and trying new things. I'm prepping for grad school and am excited for new literary adventures! I'm a fan of the classics but am currently into contemporary works. I'm a sucker for symbolism, authentic character development and big words!

Alison Lewis
I am a recent graduate from BYU with a bachelors degree in Special Education. I am in the process of moving to Northern Virginia to become a full-time teacher. I like being lazy and eating anything with chocolate. But I also like being adventurous and going shopping. If a book doesn't grab me from the beginning, chances are I won't finish it.

Reading Update!!

I will admit, this book has been a little difficult for me to start. Because it begins in the middle of a situation and is confusing at first, I have put it off. Until I realised that the deadline is coming up! So today at my very boring temp job being a receptionist, I snuck my mom's kindle out of my bag and have forced myself to read. I am now on page 51 (not sure if kindle pages and paper pages are the same...) and am hooked. Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows are such witty writers! I have to say, I am really enjoying this book. And it's not just the boredom talking. I won't give any spoilers today but here is my favorite quote from the book so far: "We read books, talked books, argued over books, and became dearer and dearer to one another." When I find a friend or stranger who has read a book I love, they instantly become a better friend to me because we can discuss and argue over the book. That's the reason for this blog, overall; I want to become dearer friends with those of you who will read and argue books with me :) (Also if this format is weird, it's because on the computer here at work I can only type in HTML which won't let me make new paragraphs. Weird.) Keep reading! We're almost there!! - Alison
